How it all started
Embarrassingly enough, I started my vocal massage journey at the gym…
I was about 17 and at the gym. I tried lifting a weight that was way too heavy for me to try and impress somebody who was clearly way out of my league anyway. While doing this I strained my neck and felt my larynx physically push to one side.
I soon saw Stephen King who sorted the problem in one vocal massage lesson and set me up to look after myself once I had left. The rest is history!
My Story
My name is Conner and I am a performer! I sing, I act, I dance and a manipulate the larynx! In February of 2023. I have a first class honours degree in musical theatre after training for 3 years professionally at Laine Theatre Arts. I am still out in the industry performing and am enjoying managing the two different professions.
I qualified as an advanced vocal massage therapist trained at the Voice Care Centre London, founded by the one and only Stephen King. I am proud to be a graduate of such a prestigious group. I strive to uphold their high standards. I look forward to learning more as I qualify further in the world of vocal health!
My approach
I am educated in the relational form of vocal massage, so I will adjust every session to you. There will be a dialogue about what feels ‘useful’ to you and we will develop the session from there.
I am also a qualified Vocal Health First Aider, after completing the course with Vocal Health Education. I like to use this knowledge as best I can as part of my vocal massage appointments, trying to educate clients on the best habits and lifestyle options to keep their voices in the best possible shape.
